About Walt
I grew up in Charles County attending JP Ryon Elementary, John Hanson Middle and Thomas Stone High School. I've served as a volunteer coach for Charles County Parks and Recreation and worked for the Charles County Board of Education.
I was appointed to the United States Capitol Police and attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, GA.
I entered the private sector completing internal and external theft/fraud investigations for several companies over the past 30 years.
I am currently the Senior Manager of Asset Protection and Facility Security Officer holding a Top Secret Clearance, while overseeing Government Contracts for a Non-Profit. Recently, I passed my Maryland Real Estate Salesperson Exam to expand my knowledge of land use and development.
God has blessed me with a 28 year marriage and a wonderful son and daughter who also have deep community ties through their respective public service careers.
I acknowldge I am an unknown, unproven, wild card who is NOT a politician. I don't need the title, power or prestige some seek from this office. I believe the office is for the PEOPLE, not the Commissioner.
God has truly blessed me in this life. If HIS plan for me is to fight and advocate for you as your next D1 Commissioner, I welcome that calling and will give you all that I have!

Infrastructure that will support future, smarter, controlled residential growth
Infrastructure must be in place BEFORE residential growth continues. The maintenance of roads, stormwater systems and other critical infrastructure is essential to support both current and future residents responsibly. The current system simply does NOT work.
